The Structural Engineer, Volume 37, Issue 5, 1959
THE PRESIDENT welcomed especially the members of the Institution of Highway Engineers and introduced the Author, who then presented his paper.
THE results of a series of tests on triangulated trusses are presented. The trusses were fabricated from rolled steel sections and welded to blocks at the joints. Four were made in the form of two bay Warren trusses, and three in the shape of simple triangles. They appear to confirm previous theory as to the prediction of their collapse loads, and of the deflection of the members. J. G. Nutt
This month's letters include additional references for the June issue's Regent Street disease article and discussions about seismic design and minimum qualifications for carrying out structural engineering services.
